Glen Kamara returns to training for Rangers
Rangers star Glen Kamara has returned from his extended holiday after competing in Euro 2020 for Finland and is back in training, as shown in official pictures from the club’s Twitter page.
Kamara has been recently linked with a move to West Ham, but for now, he is back in training with Steven Gerrard’s side, preparing himself for the start of the 2021/22 season [Give Me Sport].
The 25-year-old played every game for Finland but couldn’t help his country progress past the group stages, and now he is back in Scotland with the Gers as talk around his future intensifies.
Is this a good sign?
Some players who are unhappy at their club or are trying to force a move will refuse to turn up for pre-season training, so it is good to see that Kamara has turned up when he was expected to.
The former Arsenal man was very impressive for the Gers last season, and it is no surprise to see him linked with a move to the Premier League as clubs look to strengthen their squads.
Steven Gerrard, speaking to Sky Sports in 2019, described him as a “class act” and also called him “superb”, so there are clearly people out there who rate him.
However, the crucial thing from Rangers’ point of view is that Kamara is still their player and is participating in pre-season training.
If the clubs linked with him are so keen, you would expect them to make an offer for the 25-year-old at some point, but as it stands, that hasn’t happened.
It is good to see that Kamara is back in pre-season training, and hopefully, he is still a Rangers player by the close of the transfer window.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have tabled a bid for 22-year-old midfielder who could significantly improve their side.
