Alex McLeish: Fashion Sakala is the 'real deal' ahead of Rangers summer move

We’re delighted to welcome former Rangers manager Alex McLeish as our exclusive columnist, each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Alex McLeish has labelled new Rangers signing Fashion Sakala as the “real deal” as he prepares for his move to Ibrox in the summer.
The Bears have beaten clubs from England, France and Spain to the signing of the 24-year-old speed machine, in a real statement of intent ahead of next season.
McLeish has praised the Light Blues and their scouting network, as they look to have unravelled another bargain from Belgium.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, McLeish said, “We don’t know a lot about Fashion but to be scouted by top teams, it was a great signing.
“Belgium is a great breeding ground for these players. Sakala has done well over there and I would think he is the real deal.”
Real deal.
Looking at our attacking options for next season, every club in Scotland will be shaking with fear of the prospect of coming to Ibrox.
Kemar Roofe, Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe have all been on fire alongside the likes of Ryan Kent, so add Sakala to that and we’re drooling already.
Sakala has scored 14 goals in Belgium this season, including strikes against Royal Antwerp and Standard Liege – two sides we add brilliant battles with in the Europa League.
McLeish is spot on to be excited about this deal, and we hope that Sakala can live up to these big expectations as we enter the Champions League as well as continuing our dominant streak; bring it on.
