Ally McCoist and Ian Crocker were left mesmerised by Rangers defender James Tavernier during the 4-1 victory over Celtic.
The skipper has come back from injury with flying colours and was back to his best attacking down the right-hand side on Sunday afternoon.
After whipping in a delicious cross where Alfredo Morelos should have scored, the Sky Sports duo were awestruck by Tavernier.
Crocker was left astonished on Sky Sports Main Event in the first half on Sunday: “Excellent cross”
McCoist agreed: “What a chance that is, what a ball from Tavernier. I did just mention the quality they’ve got from wide areas in Barisic and, in particular, Tavernier. That is a big, big chance.
“I’ve got to say, the quality of the ball in is fantastic.”
“The ball in was tremendous, it really was. It was into that area in front of the goalkeeper and behind the centre-backs.”
Back to his best.
After showing signs of rustiness against St Johnstone, his goal towards the end of that Scottish Cup defeat set him up perfectly for the Old Firm.
With Nathan Patterson shining recently, Tavernier needed to be at his best to give us all a reminder, and that is exactly what he did.
The Bears were phenomenal going forward at Ibrox, and our fierce rivals simply couldn’t handle it, with Ryan Kent ahead of Tavernier outrageous.
Tavernier is back out on the pitch at his best at the perfect time, and in two weeks’ time, he will be lifting the Scottish Premiership title above his head; we can’t wait.
In other Rangers news, this Gers target confirms he has an agreement to join a new club.
