Tam McManus latest pundit to take bizarre swipe at Rangers after Scottish Cup draw

Tam McManus has become the latest pundit to take a bizarre swipe at Rangers after the Scottish Cup fourth round draw on Sunday.

The Bears will potentially set up another Old Firm clash against Celtic at Ibrox if they were to progress as expected this evening.

Cove Rangers stand between the Gers and another fierce clash on the way to another final at Hampden Park which is on the line.

Writing on his personal Twitter account after the draw, McManus bizarrely claimed that either Celtic or Cove Rangers will be knocked out in the next round.

“Offfftttt,” he wrote. “Opens up the draw that. Other teams will be delighted that either Cove Rangers or Celtic are going out.”

Business as usual.

McManus usually can’t help himself when it comes to substandard so-called jokes such as this one, and it rarely brings any laughs, unfortunately for him.

Rangers are often used by pundits such as himself or Michael Stewart to make themselves bigger on the national scale, although it just gets them in the bad books at Ibrox.

It will be brilliant when Gerrard’s men take care of business as usual this evening, and then all eyes can be set at that Old Firm clash in the future.

The famous saying is taking each game as it comes, and it would be foolish of us to underestimate Cove, who need to respected and dispatched similar to the rest.
