Steven Gerrard has announced his Rangers starting XI for the first leg of the Round of 32 Europa League clash against Antwerp tonight.

It will be good to get back on the pitch after the negative press around the Covid breach this week.

And we’re expecting Rangers to do the business tonight and take some pressure off the return leg next week.

The team news was announced on the official Rangers Twitter page ahead of the 8pm kick-off, with Scott Arfield back in the starting XI for the first time since his return from injury.

The two Ryans are on the bench – Jack and Kent, with Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe in attack.

Rangers

One game at a time

Rangers might not have had the perfect build-up to this game but we’re sure the players will be 100% focussed on the task in hand.

The bookies think that Rangers will take a lead back to Ibrox next week.

They’ve got the Gers odds-on to win tonight with the home side at a massive 7/2 to spring a shock.

It’s not going to be easy, though, and that’s what Gerrard will be telling his team tonight.

One game at a time. One win at a time. One goal at a time – and these have been hard to come by recently.

Having Roofe and Morelos on the pitch will help here and it’s fantastic to see Arfield starting a game for the first time since December.

Ryan Kent on the bench is maybe a bit of a surprise but he’s been off the boil.
