‘Woeful’ – Sky Sports pundit predicts Rangers & Celtic Premiership fixtures as 55 beckons

Andy Walker has predicted yet another win for Rangers to nil on Wednesday when they take on St Johnstone.

He’s also predicted more misery for Celtic who he says are in a “woeful predicament” ahead of their game against Kilmarnock.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports Walker said, “It’s hard to know what the mindset of the Celtic players will be after the criticism of them by manager Neil Lennon in the immediate aftermath of another painful loss at home to St Mirren on Saturday.

“It seems to me that he’s getting no response from a group of players who look indifferent to their current woeful predicament. The very least to be expected is a hunger and desire to win games, it has been inexplicably lost over a number of months now.”

Walker thinks the Celtic game will end 1-1.

As for Rangers, Walker ha said, “St Johnstone are the latest team to roll up to see if they can break the remarkable 100 per cent record at Ibrox that Rangers have this season. The formality of being crowned champions is just a matter of time now for Steven Gerrard.”

He thinks Rangers will increase their lead at the top to a remarkable 25 points with a 2-0 win.

Rangers

Unbeaten run to continue

is it acceptable to feel any sympathy for Celtic? That’s a joke by the way.

But it’s hard to imagine a season that they had talked up so much being any worse.

As for Rangers, it’s hard to write a better script for the 55 season. There’s a real possibility that we will end up winning the title by more than 30 points and could even better the gap in the 16/17 season.

The big games for us now are the Antwerp games and while Gerrard won’t be taking his foot off the pedal in the Premiership, we’ve got a real chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the Europa.

The squad is big enough to fight on both fronts, especially with the news that Scott Arfield is due back from injury for the Europa games.

Rangers added even more depth to the squad on deadline day, with deals for Scott Wright and Jack Simpson.

And we’re looking forward to an even bigger gap at the top of the Premiership by Wednesday evening.
