Kris Boyd has said that Rangers will rip Celtic apart today if Neil Lennon opts for the diamond formation that has seen an upturn in results for the Hoops.

Writing in the Scottish Sun Boyd said, “Celtic have bounced back to form since Neil Lennon had the gem of an idea to change the shape of his midfield.

“But he’s on to a loser if he thinks it will work at Ibrox tomorrow.

“Indeed, if he opts for a midfield diamond, I reckon Rangers will plunder them down the flanks.

“Of course, Lennon could stick with it and appease some of their grumbling fans… In a sense, he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t.”

Desperate times

It’s the last throw of the dice for Celtic this afternoon at Ibrox.

It’s incredible to think that a defeat will almost certainly hand Rangers the title midway through the season, but that’s where we’re at.

We desperately hope that Lennon does what the Hoops fans want him to and plays the diamond.

This will play completely into Rangers’ hands and we can’t see anything but a comfortable home win if Celtic try to do what’s been successful against other sides.

Rangers are a completely different outfit and Lennon must know that deep down in the back of his mind.

But, in the desperate situation he’s in, he might think that giving into the fans is better than making the right decision on the pitch.

Kemar Roofe and Ryan Kent will be licking their lips at the opportunity to bring the Premiership trophy to the door of Ibrox today and we’re backing Alfredo Morelos to get his first Old Firm goal.
