The Old Firm clash didn’t go exactly according to plan in the first-half and Alfredo Morelos – still looking for his first goal against Celtic – drew the most criticism from Rangers fans.

You never know what you’re going to get from Morelos at the moment but he’s finding goals very hard to come by.

What’s worse, though, is that when he’s bad he looks absolutely awful – “Lazy and disinterested” as one Gers fan put it.

He was involved in a sending off in the second half but it wasn’t Morelos getting his marching orders this time.

Instead, it was Nir Bitton who hauled Morelos down and denied a goal-scoring opportunity.

It was his best contribution to the game and it meant that Rangers had the chance to go for the kill and put Celtic out of their misery for the season.

Some Gers fans were surprised that Morelos was still on the pitch, with Steven Gerrard taking Kemar Roofe off at half-time when he introduced Ianis Hagi to the game.

However, in the end, maybe it was for the best that he was. Rangers got the breakthrough after a Callum McGregor own goal less than 10 minutes after the red card.

Morelos was finally taken off in the 77th minute, begging the question will he ever score against Celtic? With displays like today’s, you have to feel that his time is really running out.
