‘Your paperwork is wrong’, ‘Idiots’ – Many Rangers fans mock Sky Sports for comical Morelos fail

It’s a day ending with ‘y’ so that means Sky Sports have made another Scottish football gaffe and yet again, the mistake pertains to Rangers.

In the last month, Bongani Zunu’s name appeared spelt incorrectly on Sky Sports News, Ryan Jack and Ryan Kent were mixed up on their website and the broadcaster even changed the kick-off time of their January clash with Aberdeen twice in 48 hours.

And on Tuesday, the Sky Sports Scotland Twitter account failed to share clear information about Alfredo Morelos being issued a notice of complained by the Scottish FA for an incident in the win over Dundee on Sunday.

Apparently, the SFA will hold a tribunal hearing on Thursday, December 15. For those of you who know how to tell the date, it is in fact Tuesday, December 15. We don’t know whether the hearing is on Tuesday and the day is wrong or if it’s on Thursday and the date is wrong.

Thankfully, the SFA have it right on their website as it says the hearing will take place on Thursday, December 17.

Rangers fans were quick to mock Sky Sports for their gaffe, with one calling the broadcasting giants – rather fairly – “idiots”.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

On a more serious note, Morelos deserves a ban.

We don’t have a clue how he avoided a red card for planting his forearm in Mark Connolly’s face on Sunday afternoon.

Morelos knew where the player was, made clear eye contact with him and then raised his arm into his face.

Morelos should get a ban for that and based on his poor form in front of goal, it’s easy to say we won’t really miss him either.

In other Rangers news, fans are worried about Steven Gerrard’s latest update on Ryan Jack’s injury.
