‘Astonishing’ – Andy Walker predicts result of Rangers clash v Dundee United

Andy Walker has backed Rangers to pick up yet another three points against Dundee United on Sunday afternoon.

The Sky Sports pundit has predicted that it will finish 2-1 at Tannadice, with the home side having recent issues with COVID-19.

Steven Gerrard made seven changes against Lech Poznan on Thursday and has reported a clean bill of health ahead of another trip away from Ibrox.

rangersWalker believes that Gerrard has managed the Bears perfectly through their busy schedule, and that should help them once again on Sunday.

“Right now, it’s hard to see Rangers losing a goal, far less a game, and their form is relentless,” he wrote in his Sky Sports predictions blog.

“Slowly dismantling Ross County in the Highlands last weekend to record yet another four-goal victory was very impressive given how well County had fared against Celtic previously.

“It’s never easy coming back from European action, but Steven Gerrard has managed this squad so well this season. It’s astonishing that just three goals have been conceded in 16 league games, giving them a perfect platform for success.”

The likes of James Tavernier, Steven Davis, Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe were all rested and will be raring to go this weekend.

Gerrard has managed his squad perfectly all season, and this new-found squad depth has been one of the main reasons behind this success.

Dundee United are fighting to be in the top-five this season, and have only lost one of their previous five games in the league.

Rangers destroyed Dundee 4-0 in the reverse fixture, and that was with the likes of Brandon Barker starting – imagine what will happen when Roofe starts.

The Gers proved they can win the hard way against Ross County, and that may be required once again at Tannadice against a similar side fighting for points.
