‘MOTM’, ‘Roll Royce’, ‘8/10’ – Some Rangers fans drool over 28y/o in win v Lech Poznan
Rangers fans were wowed by Bongani Zungu’s performance in the 2-0 win against Lech Poznan in Poland on Thursday night.
Steven Gerrard’s side managed to secure first place in their Europa League group and thus ensuring they are among the seeded teams in the draw for the last 32.
Cedric Itten and Ianis Hagi were the men on the scoresheet for the Light Blues but it was midfielder Zungu, 28, who stole the show in the eyes of a lot of supporters on Twitter.

We haven’t seen much of Zungu since his arrival on loan from Amiens in October due to him spending a period in self-isolation.
However, what we have seen of the South Africa international suggests that including a permanent option in his transfer to Ibrox was a good move.
And based on how fans rated his display on Thursday in Poznan, he’s someone who could become a key player for Gerrard as one supporter dubbed him a “Rolls Royce” of a player.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

Zungu has a lot of competition in the midfield with Steven Davis, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield, Ryan Jack, Joe Aribo and Ianis Hagi among the players who can compete with him for a position.
However, the Gers have a lot of fixtures this month with six left to play before they face Celtic in the second Old Firm of the campaign at Ibrox on January 2.
Zungu – like everyone else – will have their sights set on starting that game but at the moment, we doubt that the 28-year-old will be considered by Gerrard.
But these next six games could be vital.
We hope it doesn’t happen but there could be injuries, suspensions, positive COVID-19 tests or anything that could improve Zungu’s chances of getting a start versus down-in-the-dumps Celtic.
In other Rangers news, fans blasted this one player at half-time against Lech Poznan even though the Gers were leading.
