‘Killing us’, ‘Celtic standard’ – Many Rangers fans destroy ‘Exposed’ player at HT v Liege
Rangers endured a nightmare start to their Europa League clash with Standard Liege on Thursday evening.
Steven Gerrard made seven changes to the side which cruised to victory against Falkirk, welcoming back the likes of Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe.
The Bears were behind in the opening six minutes, with Maxime Lestienne firing home for the Belgian side at Ibrox.
Rangers’ defence has been superb this season.

The likes of James Tavernier and Conor Goldson were sleeping and allowed the ball to come in far too easily for Lestienne to finish.
Goldson has been the heartbeat of this side, cementing his spot despite Filip Helander and Leon Balogun swapping continuously between themselves.

Goldson blamed his teammates for the goal, but looking at the reactions on social media, he should be concentrating on his own game, rather than others.
The defender did score an equaliser, but that was cancelled out almost immediately as Duje Cop put Liege back ahead one minute later – a penalty saw the Gers go into the break level though.
Many Rangers fans have destroyed Goldson though, with the majority claiming that he was one of the main reasons why they fell behind against Liege.
Some even compared his defending to that of Celtic’s this season, proving that even when losing, our fierce rivals aren’t out of the firing line for their shocking season so far.
