‘100%’, ‘Get it done’ – Some Rangers fans thrilled by ‘Fantastic’ transfer update
Rangers fans are delighted with reports that Jack Wilshere is keen to head to Ibrox on a free transfer after being released by West Ham on Monday.
Wilshere, 28, is a free agent after his £100,000-a-week contract at the London Stadium was terminated by mutual consent.
Since then, the former Arsenal midfielder has been linked with a move to Ibrox and PA Sport journalist Andy Newport has now reported that he would be interested in signing for Rangers if Steven Gerrard comes calling.
While it is understood that no contact has been made between Rangers and Wilshere as of yet, a deal does seem doable – although it would mean the playmaker would have to take one massive pay drop if he did agree to head to Glasgow.
Despite the midfielder’s struggles with injuries in his career, Gers fans seem to be very happy about his potential arrival at Ibrox.
One has called it a “no-brainer” to sign the 28-year-old while another has urged the Gers to “get it done”.

Wilshere has not played a lot of football this year but has claimed he’s been fit and available to play for West Ham for eight months.
It’s one thing saying that but will also have to prove that to Gerrard and the Gers’ fitness staff.
You can imagine that Wilshere will be very closely looked at if he gets to the stage of having a medical while it could also take him several weeks to get to the level that Gerrard wants him to be at to play in the Scottish Premiership.
