Rangers are interested in a move for Sheffield Wednesday keeper Cameron Dawson.
The 24-year-old has come up through the youth ranks at the Yorkshire club and was first choice for a large part of last season.
He made 26 appearances in the 18/19 Championship but has lost his place to Keiren Westwood this season.
He’s still made five appearances and kept three clean sheets, two in the Championship, but the former England Under-19 player is now second fiddle at the club and out of contract in the summer.
The Star claims that there are Championship clubs after him in January as well as Rangers – Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End are said to be “closely monitoring” the player ahead of the January window.
Wes Foderingham is the current number two at Rangers but is also out of contract in the summer. He’s only made four appearances this season and is free to talk to overseas clubs in January.
He’s been linked with a move to the MLS, with DC United, and is said to be considering his options.
It’s been tough for Foderingham since Allan McGregor joined the club. He’s never done much wrong at Rangers and at 28 has still got a lot of years left in his tank.
