Rangers Women’s Football Club

Rangers Women’s Football Club, originally known as Rangers Ladies, were founded in 2008 through a partnership with Paisley City Ladies, which had been established in 1999 as Arthurlie Ladies. The team became the female branch of Rangers Football Club, following the example of other Scottish clubs like Celtic and Hibernian in developing women’s sections. In 2018, the team officially changed their name to Rangers Women’s Football Club, reflecting a progressive step toward integration with the main club.

In July 2019, Rangers announced a significant commitment to women’s football, integrating the team more fully into club operations and providing financial support to professionalise the squad. The team moved their home fixtures to the Rangers Training Centre in Milngavie in 2019 before settling at Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld in 2022 due to capacity and parking constraints at the training venue

They have played select matches at Ibrox Stadium, including a notable title-deciding match against Glasgow City in April 2025, showcasing their growing prominence.
