Youssef Chermiti now Rangers' most valuable star after recent Ibrox exit
Youssef Chermiti was in fine form for Rangers last season.
While the Gers failed to clinch the Scottish Premiership title, it was not to the fault of the Portuguese forward.
In the crucial post-split fixtures stage of the campaign, Chermiti stepped up and secured six goal contributions.
His performances have since earned him a great standing among his teammates, with him soaring to the top of one ranking.
Transfer interest in Chermiti has been rife, and that will certainly continue to trudge on throughout the window.
But Derek McInnes will likely have the final say over the 22-year-old's future amid this latest reveal.
How much is Youssef Chermiti worth?
Rangers will have their own internal valuation of Chermiti, but outside parties have calculated his expected price.
According to the latest update from CIES Football Observatory on 16 June, Chermiti has take over from the departing Mikey Moore as the most valuable player at Ibrox.
Moore exited Rangers upon the expiry of his Tottenham loan arrangement at the end of last month.
CIES' transfer value tool utilises a scientific approach to judge the fair value of players on the market.
Previously, Moore was valued between the £22.6million and £26.1m mark.
But now, Chermiti takes the reigns coming in at a value of £11.2m to £13m.
It is quite a stark difference between the two, but Rangers will likely look to bring in a fee closer to Moore's value for Chermiti.
The forward has been subject to interest from multiple clubs throughout Europe.
However, reports have suggest the Bears want a record fee in order to sell their star striker.
Do Rangers need to sell at least one forward?
Rangers striker stock is quite full at the moment.
McInnes is not short of options with Chermiti joined alongside Ryan Naderi, Lawrence Shankland and Bojan Miovski.
In reality, having four centre-forwards would be overkill, unless the newly appointed boss is looking to play with two up front.
And that is a set-up that McInnes often used at Hearts last season. So, in the event that one Rangers forward is sold, they would more than likely need to bring in a replacement.
If it is Chermiti that departs, they would have no shortage of funds to sign a successor.
But there would be no guarantee of output like the Portuguese forward showed last campaign.
