Will Rangers sign free agent striker after crushing Lawrence Shankland injury?
Rangers have been hit with crushing news on the extent of Lawrence Shankland's injury.
The 31-year-old was initially expected to be out for three months with a hamstring injury.
However, Derek McInnes shared an update on Tuesday that it is a 2cm tear, that could require surgery.
That would leave Shankland out for four months, with the potential to miss out on 20 matches.
Therefore, many feel like the Bears should enter the free agent market to bring in more cover.

With the transfer market closed, the Light Blues would have to pluck someone out who is currently not contracted to a club.
Asked about the possibility that the Gers try to sign a free agent to replace Shankland after the latest on his injury, David Edgar shut it down.
The Heart & Hand Podcast owner replied to that suggestion on X, and he appeared to suggest the Bears' stance was that they will not.
He said: "No. We have three."
That suggests that they will not be making a splash to land a new man.

Kevin Kelsy would be the ideal suggestion, as he cost a staggering £9.5million from Portland Timbers.
He made his debut coming off the bench late in the 1-0 win over Motherwell, fluffing his lines when an easy chance came his way.
McInnes will hope that is not a regular occurence, but if it is, he will turn to Ryan Naderi instead to lead the line.
The German notched the only goal in the victory last time out, and has managed three goals and one assist in eight games so far this season.
The final option is Bojan Miovski, who has been the subject of constant rumour about an exit.
He confirmed on social media that he does not have an agency representing him, in another twist on his future.
The North Macedonian attacker has featured three times this season, with no goal contributions to his name, so McInnes may be hesitant about drafting him in.
Hopefully, the likes of Minsu Kim, Daisuke Yokota and Badredine Bouanani can also chip in with goals to help ease the burden on whoever is given the nod.
