Every game Lawrence Shankland could miss after Derek McInnes' new Rangers update
Rangers striker Lawrence Shankland's injury may be worse than first feared.
The Scotland ace was forced off after eight minutes in Saturday's 1-0 win over Motherwell.
Derek McInnes had initially feared it could have been a similar hamstring injury to the one that he suffered last season with Hearts.
That kept the 31-year-old out for three months, which was also the likely diagnosis made by the Gers.
However, McInnes has revealed that it is a 2cm hamstring tear, which could keep him out for four months.

How many matches could Lawrence Shankland miss?
Shankland may have surgery, which would less the risk of re-injury, but that would keep him out for another month, and he could miss 20 games in total.
The first Old Firm clash in the league is next on 20 September, and he will miss out on that.
Shankland will miss league games with Kilmarnock, Dundee, St Johnstone, Hearts and Aberdeen in October, as well as a League Cup semi-final if they beat their Glasgow rivals.
November is scheduled to be a light month, due to the international break, with three league matches with St Mirren, Motherwell and Falkirk.
Dundee United, Hibernian, St Johnstone, Hearts, Kilmarnock and Dundee are the opponents that he will not be playing against in December, and he would miss a potential League Cup final.
He will hope to make a return by the Dundee United contest on 9 January, but that would see him miss the second Old Firm league game on 3 January.
Shankland could also target the Scottish Gas Cup third round as a return point, which takes place on 16 January.
Who will take up the burden in Shankland's absence?
Kevin Kelsy will be expected to take up the majority of the burden while Shankland is sidelined.
The Venezuelan cost £9.5million and he was in brilliant form before his move, with nine goals and two assists in 20 MLS matches.
If he can repeat that in Scotland, it will be a big relief for McInnes and Co, after his disappointing debut off the bench last time out.
Ryan Naderi is the other option, and he scored the only goal of the game against the Steelmen.
