However, so far, they have struggled in their efforts to re-sign him, with Besiktas resisting the idea of a sale.

Turkish journalist Dogukan Yildirim revealed to Ibrox News that Rangers' chances will depend on Salah's situation.

He has now shared that the Egyptian's agent, Ramy Abbas, has complicated matters.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, he said: “The demands of Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, have made this transfer difficult.

“If a new right winger is signed, then he will be allowed to be sold.

“However, this scenario is still unlikely… Cerny started in the first eleven in the match against Midtjylland.”

The Gers will hope that Salah's agent comes round to a move to the Super Lig side, so they can sign the player that Barry Ferguson described as a "difference maker".

Why there will be plenty of twists and turns in Cerny race

There are likely to be plenty of twists and turns left in the attempts to bring the 28-year-old back to Glasgow.

The Light Blues should go all out to secure his signature, as it would be a major boost for the fanbase.

It would get them believing that Derek McInnes' side can be back into the title race after a dismal end to the last campaign.

If Salah does not end up joining the Turkish side, and his agent is too difficult, it could wipe out their chance of bringing Cerny back.

That would be a huge shame and supporters of the Glasgow side will be hoping that he does not scupper their plans.

If he does, the Gers have alternatives like Amario Cozier-Duberry and Adama Sidibeh for potential attackers, but the dopamine would not hit the same as if the 30-cap international returned.
