Ibrox News recently carried reports that Adamson could be loaned to a Scottish Premiership side.

That would be a deserved step up in quality for the young talent after impressing further down the pyramid last season.

The Scotsman has now named St Mirren and Kilmarnock as two of the top-flight teams interested in Adamson.

There is also interest south of the border, as Swindon Town would also like to sign "the Gers prodigy" - as the report describes him - on loan.

Swindon play in the fourth tier of English football and are managed by Ian Holloway.

Beyond the fact they are a lower stature to the other two teams mentioned, Kilmarnock may have another clear advantage.

Adamson admitted last year it is his "dream" to play for Rangers at senior level.

That chance will hopefully come with time, but only if a new deal is agreed upon his loan exit.

Kilmarnock are managed by Neil McCann, who is well known at Ibrox and got the best out of Findlay Curtis during a loan stint last season.

Curtis will tell you how much that time away from Ibrox benefited him, which will hopefully also be the case for Adamson.
