Why Amario Cozier-Duberry is someone Derek McInnes won't be subbing off as Rangers push for deal
Rangers-linked Amario Cozier-Duberry has received some very high praise from his former coaches.
The 21-year-old winger is being strongly and widely linked with a move to Rangers this summer.
Having returned to Brighton following his loan spell with Bolton Wanderers last season, he's established himself as one of the English Football League's (EFL) brightest young talents.
Cozier-Duberry scored 10 times and provided 10 assists in 41 games for Bolton in 2025-26, bringing him back into the England fold at youth international level.
As such, he looks like a very promising prospect for the future, and one who could become a star player pretty quickly at Ibrox.
And if Rangers chiefs needed any more convincing on a move for the ex-Arsenal talent, numerous references from his former coaches should do the trick.

Ibrox News has been following reports that Rangers look set to firm up their interest in Cozier-Duberry imminently.
Gers are yet to make an acquisition at the winger position, but that's sure to change before the end of the window given the need to replace both Mikey Moore and depth option Oliver Antman respectively.
Before starring with Bolton in League One last term, Cozier-Duberry was sent out on his first loan move to Blackburn Rovers of the Championship for the duration of the 2024-25 season.
He would score just the one goal in 23 appearances at Ewood Park, but Rovers boss at the time John Eustace was a big admirer of his.
Speaking via BBC Sport in December 2024 after a win over Luton Town, Eustace said of Cozier-Duberry: "He was outstanding...In the first half he was virtually unplayable and I was pleased he scored a great goal.
"The most pleasing thing for me is while he's an exciting player with the ball he really works hard without the ball as well and that's something we have to have within this team."
So, whilst being a player who doesn't shy away from doing the dirty work and performing his defensive duties, just how impactful is he going forward?

During his time with Bolton last term, Cozier-Duberry worked under the management of Steven Schumacher.
The 42-year-old guided Wanderers to a fifth-placed finish in League One and made the play-offs, before triumphing over Stockport County in the final to win promotion to the Championship.
As aforementioned, Cozier-Duberry played an integral role in this achievement, and Schumacher recognised that despite placing a lot of responsibility on his young shoulders, he simply had no choice.
"...He plays nearly every minute of every game. It is difficult for someone so young," Schumacher said via The Herald in an October 2025 interview.
"But you just can’t take him off because he has that match-winning capability. He reminds me a bit of Morgan Whittaker who I had (at Plymouth) a couple of years ago who can produce a moment of magic to win you a game from nowhere.
"This season he is playing every week and becoming the main man. Brighton needed us to give him the opportunity to shine and he is getting there.
“Who knows how far he can go? It is over to him. But his stock is only getting higher that is great for both clubs.”
The chance to sign a rapidly ascending prospect like Cozier-Duberry doesn't come around very often, and so if Rangers can do a deal with Brighton, then he could be one that makes all the difference in many Scottish Premiership title races to come.
