Where Rangers deal for Amario Cozier-Duberry stands after Vaclav Cerny transfer blow

Rangers have been pursuing Brighton and Hove Albion winger Amario Cozier-Duberry and Vaclav Cerny all summer.

The Gers still want more attacking reinforcements out wide, despite signing Daisuke Yokota and Kim Min-su for Derek McInnes.

With the English winger impressing on loan at Bolton last season and the Besiktas attacker thriving during his spell in G51, it's safe to see why the Light Blues want them.

However, it doesn't look like Cerny will be moving back to Ibrox, naturally turning all of the attention to Cozier-Duberry ahead of the 3 September transfer deadline.

Will Rangers sign Amario Cozier-Duberry from Brighton?

Cerny seems to be happy at Besiktas, affecting the Gers' efforts to re-sign the 28-year-old.

According to the Scottish Sun journalist Robert Grieve on 31 August, the Light Blues' move for the Czechia forward now looks unlikely.

Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy seems to be on his way to Ibrox and an official announcement should be imminent.

As for Cozier-Duberry, his signing is still a possibility, but only just.

Grieve has also claimed that, so far, no firm bids have arrived for Nicolas Raskin, who is expected to leave the Govan side before the transfer window closes.

What still should happen at Ibrox before transfer deadline

There's plenty of work that still needs to be done at Rangers in the coming hours.

McInnes still seems desperate for a new winger, but the need shouldn't be as urgent after Min-su's arrival.

In terms of incomings, after Kelsy, the Light Blues could work on reinforcing their defence with a centre-back.

John Souttar is still yet to find a new club after being told by McInnes to do so.

There may well be more departures from the midfield apart from Raskin after Dan Neil, Cammy Devlin and Vanja Dragjevic all signed.

Bojan Miovski's future will also be one to watch after Kelsy's arrival, with plenty of change expected in the next 48 hours.
