When Rangers fans will get first sight of Couhaib Driouech as medical update drops

Couhaib Driouech is inching ever closer to becoming a Rangers player.

The PSV Eindhoven winger has been heavily linked with a move to Ibrox over the past few days and the deal could be at the final stages now.

Rangers are absolutely desperate for some more creativity in the final third and the 24-year-old looks like the player they have landed on.

Driouech scored four goals and created six assists in the Eredivisie last season, as he won the title with PSV in the 2025/26 campaign.

Only five of his 29 top-flight appearances were as a starter, though, and he is keen to get more first-team football under his belt.

That is likely to come with Rangers, and a new update suggests that he could even be at Ibrox sooner than thought.

And now Rangers are on the cusp of bringing in 24-year-old Driouech in a deal said to be worth around £7million.

Soccer News Netherlands journalist Mounir Boualin has now provided an extensive update on X.

Boualin reports that Driouech has now completed his medical examinations at Rangers.

As such, he is set to put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract until the summer of 2030, with the final contractual details to be ironed out on Thursday.

He rounded out the update by saying that Driouech and his entourage will attend Rangers' Europa League third-round second-leg qualifying tie against Jagiellonia Bialystok.

Rangers' hierarchy can now start looking at other priorities in the team.

Driouech is set to become the 10th signing of a busy transfer window for Rangers, but their business is not finished yet.

The Gers already wanted cover at left-back before Tuur Rommens suffered a groin injury that could keep him out for several weeks.

A new right-back is also high on the agenda, with Rangers devoid of options on both flanks at full-back.

Youssef Chermiti suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the 2-1 defeat to Hibernian last time out, and as such Rangers are targeting another striker signing before the window slams shut.
