When Couhaib Driouech will fly to Glasgow for immediate Rangers transfer

Couhaib Driouech is finally set to become a Rangers player.

It has been a turbulent week for the Moroccan, who has been at the heart of a transfer tussle.

Rangers have agreed upon a £7million fee to sign Driouech, but the transfer picture has changed several times within days.

Burnley and Celta Vigo came out of nowhere after initial interest from Ibrox was reported, with Spain looking most likely at one stage.

Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers have battled back though, and look to have secured their man for Derek McInnes.

And it's set to happen much sooner than first though.

When will Couhaib Driouech arrive in Scotland?

Most of the formalities for this transfer will be completed within hours on Tuesday.

Joost Blaauwhof has reported that Driouech will board a flight to Glasgow around 2:00pm, presumably from Eindhoven.

The Voetbal International journalist states that the winger will then immediately undergo his medical.

If nothing unusual is spotted in that, Driouech will then sign a four-year contract with the Bears.

And as always, the official announcement will then follow from Rangers.

With McInnes and his squad preparing for their Europa League qualifier second leg with Jagiellonia on Thursday, this is a welcome boost.

It's unknown whether he could be added to the squad for that game.

Where does Couhaib Driouech fit in at Rangers?

McInnes has been crying out for a left winger, and he's finally set to get what he wanted.

Rangers have failed to win one of their three competitive games so far, and more worryingly, they don't know their best team.

The system has been changed frequently by McInnes, who clearly thinks he is working with square pegs in round holes.

Daisuke Yokota was signed from Hannover 96 last week, but he started immediately on the right the day after his arrival.

So, you'd imagine that Driouech will start on Thursday if he completes his formalities today and is announced at Ibrox.

He would play on the left, with the ability to cut inside and use his right foot to great affect.

Findlay Curtis may feel hard done by, but the young winger will still have a huge impact in this squad as the season goes on.

For now, all eyes are on Driouech.
