Rangers youngster Zebedee Lawson is set to join Scottish Championship side Queen's Park on loan.
The Bears are moving quickly this summer to ensure that their youngsters are set up for the best season possible.
Derek McInnes will have more involvement with the academy than the likes of Danny Rohl or Russell Martin ever did.
The Rangers boss wants to give chances where possible to youth talent, and some could impress him during pre-season, as Findlay Curtis showed what's possible around 12 months ago.
However, Lawson won't get his Ibrox chance just yet, and may have to bide his time that little bit longer.
That's because he looks set to join the Spiders after positive talks that have been held recently.

According to the Daily Record this Friday, Queen's Park have been in talks with sign Lawson from Rangers
The Spiders want to take the forward on loan, and the Light Blues are now "expected" to sanction a move.
The 17-year-old only joined the Gers from Brighton last year, and after some time developing at Auchenhowie, they feel he will benefit from first-team exposure.
There have been talks over a cooperation loan deal, and it seems things are going in the right direction for an agreement.
Lawson made two senior appearances for Rangers last season, one of which came in the final day battering of Falkirk, where he managed to get 10 minutes off the bench, when the teenager tried to score the spectacular from range.
Now, the number nine has a chance to shine in the Championship, while two other youngsters are in line for a move.
Rangers allow two more youngsters to leave on cooperation loan
Rangers pride themselves on the work they do with their academy, and will see their setup as the best in Scotland.
The club have a cooperation agreement with Alloa Athletic, and are continuing to work with the League One side this summer.
Auchenhowie gems, Kyle Glasgow and Max Cameron, will both join the Wasps on loan for the season.
Rangers will be hoping for their decisions with their youngsters to pay off this season, as further youth players could also depart for loan moves soon.
