What Jens Hjerto-Dahl has now said about Rangers' transfer again
Jens Hjerto-Dahl has opened up on a potential transfer to Rangers once again.
The Gers have had the Tromso midfielder on their radar for some time, and that interest has come back around this summer.
There have been conflicting reports on whether the Light Blues can strike a deal or not.
Ibrox News has previously covered the fact that Tromso are seeking £8.5million for the Rangers target.
They are battling against Championship side Cardiff City and it had been suggested that the Welsh club were leading the race, and the Bears were set to pull out.
However, the 20-year-old has now spoken out about his intentions when it comes to his future, and a door may have opened.
What did Jens Hjerto-Dahl reveal about potential Rangers move?
Hjerto-Dahl scored yet another wonderstrike in his side's 4-1 Eliteserien win over HamKam on Saturday.
That goal will have put interested clubs on notice, as he curled the ball home from 25 yards out.
He was asked about a move to Govan yet again after those exploits, and he refused to go into detail, insisting that he is just focused on his football.
In quotes shared by the Daily Record, he said: "I can't bear to go into it too much, I try to keep my focus on Tromso, that's what works for me.
"The apparatus around me takes care of the rumours and the other things around.
"What works for me is going into matches with full focus on what I'm going to do."
The door may be open for the Gers, as Tromso sporting director Lars Petter Kraemer-Andressen revealed nothing is decided yet.
Speaking to Nordlys, he said: "He hasn't been sold yet, and the price isn't exactly going down at the moment."
Why Rangers should make Hjerto-Dahl signing a priority
Rangers need to pull out all the stops to sign the young maestro, as he would bring a new element to their side.
He has seven goals in the league so far in Norway, and that is more than any Gers midfielder managed last season.
Nicolas Raskin, whose own future is under question, was the highest goalscorer from the engine room last time out, with six strikes to his name, and no one else managed more than two.
If they do not get Hjerto-Dahl through the door, then it would be a huge concern given the lack of goals from that part of the pitch, and start Derek McInnes on the back foot.
The latest information suggests that it is not too late, and they can still pull off a deal for the Norwegian star, if they want him that badly.
