Sébastien Ledure, a Brussels-based lawyer who is the midfielder's legal advisor, has talked about disagreements between clubs leading to transfers collapsing.
With Raskin now at a point where he can clearly identify what may have gone wrong regarding his exit, it remains to be seen how he approaches the January window.
There's also a suggestion that the Belgium international will take things into his own hands going forward, which could only mean one thing.
If the Glaswegian outfit find themselves in a heated title race in the league, they would certainly be reluctant to lose their star player in the winter transfer window.
Raskin may have to wait until next summer to force the Govan side to accept whatever they can when his contract at Ibrox enters its final year.
Speaking to Le Soir on 15 September, Ledure said, "Transfers can sometimes fall through due to a clash of interests between clubs or between club intermediaries.
"Raskin has experienced several transfer windows; he has reached a stage of maturity where he can easily learn from them and I'm sure it's not too late for him to take control of his future."

No matter how well Raskin does at Rangers this season, it would be surprising to see a team spend more on him than they would be willing to this summer.
The Belgian ace was coming off a decent 2026 World Cup campaign, surely catching the eyes of some top teams.
Next summer, unless the Gers can convince the midfielder to sign a new contract, he will enter the final 12 months of his deal.
While Cavenagh may have been holding out for a significant transfer fee for Raskin, his valuation will surely not be at its peak at the end of the campaign.
