Andrew Cavenagh personally intervenes on Nicolas Raskin transfer saga at Rangers
Andrew Cavenagh clearly wasn't happy with the terms being discussed for Nicolas Raskin's Rangers exit.
Besiktas had been in talks with the Gers over a move for the 25-year-old, but a possible deal eventually collapsed.
The American owner personally intervened after learning what the Super Lig club were offering the Belgian midfielder.
The Ibrox hierarchy want to include an obligation to buy to sanction Raskin's exit to Besiktas.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the former Standard Liege star before the 3 September deadline in Scotland.

Will Besiktas make another offer for Nicolas Raskin at Rangers
Rangers ended up rejecting Besiktas' loan proposal for Raskin after initial discussions.
Sacha Tavolieri reported on 2 September that Cavenagh blocked the midfielder's potential move to the Turkish side after learning about the agreement.
Besiktas were offering a paid loan of £1.7million with a £10.3m option to buy.
The Super Lig club intend to hold further discussions to get a deal over the line for Raskin.
The midfielder is also yet to approve a deal with the Turkish side either.
What Nicolas Raskin exit would mean at Ibrox
Rangers are also in talks over Thelo Aasgaard's move to Anderlecht, which is likely to happen.
If Besiktas end up agreeing terms for Raskin, Derek McInnes will be losing two important midfielders.
While Aasgaard's influence in the team has diminished since the start of the season, he's still the only naturally attack-minded midfielder at the Scottish manager's disposal.
Raskin is probably the only other midfielder right now at the Gers who can consistently contribute in the final third.
McInnes would certainly need reinforcements in the middle of the park before the transfer deadline if the double-exit at Ibrox is sanctioned.
