Watch as Couhaib Driouech Rangers mystery deepens in PSV footage
Rangers bizarrely pulled the plug on signing Couhaib Driouech PSV last week.
The Gers looked set to sign the Moroccan to add much-needed attacking depth to their squad.
He looked to be the perfect addition at Ibrox after Daisuke Yokota had already come in from Hannover 96.
That was until a move for the 24-year-old collapsed on the say so of Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers.
The fact that the winger wouldn't be immediately available was given as the reason for the failed move on the Govan side.
PSV didn't echo that and now the whole situation surrounding Driouech has taken a bizarre twist.
What is Couhaib Driouech doing in PSV training?
The suggestion that fitness concerns was the reason behind the Light Blues turning down the attacker seemed strange.
Given that he was in attendance at Ibrox as Derek McInnes' side faced Jagiellonia pointed towards a transfer being all-but done.
He underwent a medical the next day, where things allegedly went wrong.
The suggestion that he was unable to feature immediately was seen as strange by many, but does seem to be false at this stage
Driouech has now been seen in PSV training at Philips Stadium.
Dutch journalist Mounir Boualin shared footage of the winger running and getting on the ball despite the Light Blues suggesting that he would be unavailable for six weeks.
That only thickens the plot surrounding the Moroccan in a strange turn of events surrounding the summer target.
How did Driouech feel as Rangers deal collapsed?
It seems strange that the G51 outfit would pull out of a deal so late in proceedings.
Things made some sense when it was due to injury given how long he could be out for.
That was disputed massively by PSV, but Rangers were quick to rebuff any opposite claims.
The fact that he is now back in training suggests that the Dutch outfit were actually right.
It seems to have hit Driouech hard as revealed by PSV director of football Earnest Stewart
Speaking to media outlets in the Netherlands, he said: "Couhaib is really upset about it. Very unfortunate. He was left in uncertainty for 48 hours.
"Everything was also postponed by a day, and he has barely been able to do anything. We are now getting a disillusioned player back. That is not nice."
That sums the whole situation up and leads to questions over what has actually gone on.
