Rangers will prioritise double transfer next as Ibrox exit talks ramp up

Rangers are still looking to make multiple signings at Rangers for Derek McInnes.

Vanja Dragojevic is set to become the Gers' seventh summer signing, but more are expected to come through the door.

Last summer, Kevin Thelwell made 12 new additions to the Light Blues' squad, and they could potentially hit the same number again.

McInnes has already identified his next priority targets at Ibrox, but outgoings will also be a major focus.

The Glaswegian outfit have several players in their ranks who clearly don't have a future and should look for a way out.

With the Govan side starting their season against Dundee United away from home on 31 July, it will be interesting to see how McInnes' squad shapes up in the next 10 days.

Two players Rangers could sign despite pause on incoming transfers

Andy Devlin, reporter for The Scottish Sun Sport, expects the Gers to halt new signings after they complete a deal for Dragojevic.

The Light Blues have been tipped to push players out before further investing in the squad, but McInnes is expected to address his concern areas at Ibrox.

While there may be a pause on incomings, the Glaswegian outfit could make an exception to sign new wingers.

The Govan side clearly need more quality on each wing, with a centre-back also a priority.

Speaking on Go Ballistic on 21 July, Devlin said, "The two wide areas are of concern.

"I think there will be a pause now on incomings, with perhaps the exception of the wide areas. With the need now to get players out and they're obviously working on that."

Who will follow John Souttar and Danilo out the door at Ibrox?

Ibrox News have covered reports of John Souttar and Danilo being unwanted at Rangers, with the duo looking for new clubs.

The Scottish defender and the Brazilian striker could be on their way out in the coming days.

From the midfield, Nicolas Raskin's sale feels inevitable, while Mohammed Diomande and Connor Barron's future also remain uncertain after multiple midfield additions this summer.

Then come the bit-part players like Ross McCausland and Clinton Nsiala, who should be looking for pastures new.

It also feels like the right time for the Gers to cut their losses on Nedim Bajrami after he's failed to live up to expectations.

Jose Cifuentes is another player the Glaswegian outfit should be making a permanent decision on before the transfer deadline.

All of those sales could open the door to several new signings.
