Rangers transfer update shared by Fabrizio Romano on Samuel Edozie

Rangers are in advanced talks to secure the signing of Southampton attacker Samuel Edozie, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on Playback TV on 30 August at 22:03, the reliable transfer news expert followed up on the update shared by Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam.

McAdam claimed that along with Gers, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Swansea as well as two other unnamed Championship clubs are keen on the 21-year-old.

Romano said: "Rangers, advanced talks for Edozie, the Southampton winger."

It's been a quiet window for the club, especially in terms of signing players that will immediately strengthen the playing eleven.

Edozie, the 21-year-old, most certainly will, but it remains to be seen if the club can actually get this one over the line.

The club have also been linked with a move for Ibrahim Adel - a saga which has seen a lot of twists and turns in the last 24 hours.

They do appear to be closing in on signing Nedim Bajrami from Sassuolo, who is pushing to seal a move to Ibrox. [Sassuolo News Net]

That deal has moved from a loan to a permanent one and should be completed any time soon with an announcement on the cards.

Hopefully, they can get the Edozie deal done sooner rather than later as he's a signing that would excite fans.
