Rangers are expected to be busy on the transfer front over the coming weeks, with the summer window now officially open for trading.

Monday 15 June marks the opening day for the 2026-27 summer transfer window, with it closing again at 5pm on 3 September.

Rangers start it having already completed the headline signing of Lawrence Shankland from Hearts, significantly sharpening their cutting edge.

However, with Danny Rohl looking set to leave and Derek McInnes poised to replace him, Gers' recruitment plans may well have been heavily disrupted.

Numerous ins and outs are expected in Govan across the coming weeks and months, as Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers attempt to right the wrongs of last season's title race collapse.

Ibrox News takes a look at all the latest transfer whispers swirling around Rangers as the summer window gets under way.

With the aforementioned McInnes seemingly waiting in the wings to take over from Rohl, the 54-year-old may well look to help Rangers raid Tynecastle even further this summer.

If you've already stolen Shankland, why not try and bring his strike partner in crime to Glasgow as well?

Indeed, it has been reported that McInnes would be keen to bring Claudio Braga to Ibrox, with the 26-year-old netting 14 goals in the Scottish Premiership last season.

Rangers are also reportedly interested in reuniting with Vaclav Cerny and Mikey Moore this summer, with the former now at Besiktas and the latter back with Tottenham respectively.

Wrexham forward Josh Windass has too been linked with a sensational Gers return, but Red Dragons boss Phil Parkinson has downplayed talk of that happening.

Elsewhere, Gers have also been credited with an interest in Motherwell trio Elijah Just, Elliot Watt and Tawanda Maswanhise in recent times, and could look to firm that up in the coming weeks.

In defence, Rangers know they need to replace James Tavernier at right-back, and have already been touted with a host of players in that position.

Hammarby's Hampus Skoglund, Everton's Nathan Patterson and Westerlo's Bryan Reynolds have all seen Ibrox interest mooted for their respective signatures.

In goal, meanwhile, soon-to-be Nottingham Forest free agent and Scotland number one Angus Gunn could be an option to provide competition for, or possibly even replace Jack Butland between the sticks.

Sunderland's Anthony Patterson, who spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan with EFL Championship side Millwall, is another name that could be on Rangers' goalkeeping shortlist.

Nicolas Raskin could be among Rangers exits

Switching over to those players who could be waving goodbye to Govan this summer, Nicolas Raskin may be set for a headline departure.

A report from the Rangers Review has claimed that the Belgian midfielder is "likely to leave" Ibrox in the coming weeks.

That same report also said the same for Mohamed Diomande, with the Ivorian midfielder having taken a step backwards last season after an impressive 2024-25 campaign.

Jose Cifuentes is also said to not be in Rangers' plans and will be allowed to leave this summer, with the Ecuadorian currently out on loan with MLS side Toronto FC.

Youngster Calum Adamson could also leave Rangers on loan, with reported interest from the likes of Kilmarnock and St Mirren after his eye-catching stint with Alloa last season.

Bailey Rice could be heading for the free agent market too, with his current Gers deal set to expire at the end of this month, with English Premier League side Leeds United among those reportedly monitoring his situation.
