Rangers talks to evolve for Motherwell's Emmanuel Longelo as deadline-busting transfer eyed
Rangers are pondering making a late move for Motherwell full-back Emmanuel Longelo.
The Gers added to their ranks at left-back earlier in the window with the loan signing of James Penrice from AEK Athens.
However, it could be that Rangers make another signing in that department, with Tuur Rommens currently sidelined with injury.
Rangers have already made 12 signings to bolster Derek McInnes' squad, and Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy looks set to make that 13.
But it might be that even more late business is on the cards at Ibrox after a new update on Monday.

What has been said about Rangers and Emmanuel Longelo
Rangers have previously been linked to the 25-year-old Englishman when he was coming through the ranks at West Ham United.
He did make the move to Scotland in July 2025, signing a two-year deal with the option of a third at Motherwell.
After an impressive debut campaign at Fir Park, Longelo could be on the move again.
Indeed, noted transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri posted on X to report that Longelo is looking to depart Motherwell in the final days of the window.
He wrote that Longelo is an option that Rangers are looking at as an option at left-back.
Tavolieri finished by saying that talks "could evolve in the next days", with Scotland's transfer window open until 5pm on Thursday.
Do Rangers really need another left-back?
On the surface, this does look a bit of an odd one.
Longelo, described as "outstanding" by Daily Record journalist Keith Jackson earlier this month, might have been a good option earlier in the window.
But with Penrice joining from AEK, a third left-back in the squad would seem a bit of a stretch.
That, of course, depends on the extent of Rommens' injury, but it was expected to be weeks not months.
Rommens has also been linked with a potential exit, so there is a possibility that Rangers are just keeping Longelo in mind should anything further develop.
