Rangers are on transfer alert after Ryan Kent mutually agreed to terminate his contract at Fenerbahce, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper reported on its website on 17 October that the Gers are one of many European clubs to take notice after the "remarkable" events in Turkey.

Despite never working under Philippe Clement at Ibrox, Kent's stock is said to remain high at Auchenhowie ahead of a potential return.

Rangers to sign Ryan Kent?

This would be an incredible turn of events at Ibrox.

As often seen, the grass isn't always greener on the other side and Kent has certainly discovered that since packing his bags and leaving Glasgow.

The move to Fenerbahce was nothing short of a disaster, with talks of an early return to the club shut down back in January 2024 by Chris Jack.

There were no immediate plans to enter the free agent market after the summer transfer window [Football Scotland], but sometimes opportunities come out of nowhere.

Returning to where he made such a big name for himself could suit Kent, and with the lack of options in the final third, it would suit Clement and Rangers too.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of weeks, with the winger no doubt wanting to assess his options carefully after this failure over in Turkey.
