Rangers have been in a transfer frenzy this summer, and there aren't any signs of them slowing down.

Six new faces are through the doors at Ibrox, with Partizan midfielder Vanja Dragojevic set to make it seven.

With Cammy Devlin and Dan Neil also arriving, Derek McInnes is looking elsewhere to bolster his squad.

Defence could be a key area, with two friendlies passing without a clean sheet while in Spain this week.

That's where Ryan Alebiosu comes into play.

Currently at Blackburn, the flying right-back could tick all of the boxes needed at Ibrox after serious changes.

What happened to Rangers officials on transfer mission?

With James Tavernier moving on, more is needed at right back.

Dujon Sterling didn't enjoy the best of starts to pre-season with mistakes in games, and his injury record isn't the best.

So, Alebiosu could be the perfect eighth signing.

Alan Nixon has reported via Patreon on Sunday that top Rangers spies have been left disappointed, however.

Going to check on Alebiosu in a pre-season friendly, those from Ibrox noticed that the Blackburn man was actually left out.

Suffering from a bug, it's said that Rangers are expected back in the coming weeks, with an attacking full-back wanted for the right price.

Why Ryan Alebiosu is seriously different

Ibrox News has previously covered Rangers links with James Penrice, with full-backs seriously wanted now.

But, Alebiosu would be in a world of his own at Ibrox.

Known for his blistering pace, that is something that has been desperately missed for years in Govan.

Not only can he use that going forward, but as seen in the clip below, he can use it to stop dangerous positions from counter attacks.

Rangers are going to dominate the ball in basically all of their games, so having that security at the back will help massively.

Alebiosu would be coming in to replace James Tavernier too, so having those different traits will only help.

Coming in and trying to replicate the Ibrox hero is simply impossible, so putting your own stamp on things will set him apart early.

Of course, it's not set and dry yet, with his absence for Rangers scouts slowing things down, but Alebiosu is clearly favoured in Glasgow.

Let's see what happens, with the season now only two weeks away.
