Rangers could be set to part ways with Jack Butland as part of a swap deal this summer.

The goalkeeping position has come under questioning at Ibrox for many years without changing.

The ex-England international has been the undisputed number one for many years since Allan McGregor's departure.

There were some hairy moments for the 33-year-old under Barry Ferguson as Liam Kelly became a regular in G51.

There have been links to other keepers already this summer and a move could now be on.

Rangers could look to the Premier League to seal a deal that could see Butland depart.

Rangers ready to sacrifice Jack Butland for Hull City star

There have been a raft of negative reviews surrounding the former Manchester United man recently.

That has prompted the Govan hierarchy to look out for new options moving into the summer and may have landed on their next target.

Alan Nixon reported via Patreon on Friday that Rangers are keen on signing Hull City keeper Ivor Pandur this summer.

Butland could be allowed to got the other way in a swap deal if the two sides can reach an agreement on their valuations.

The Croatian is in the Gers' eyeline after he played a key role in the Tigers' promotion to the Premier League.

Hull are looking to sell the 26-year-old for £10million, which Rangers couldn't afford, so a swap deal with Butland may make sense for both parties.

Why has Ivor Pundur has caught the eye of Rangers?

The Croatia international sealed a move to the MKM Stadium in January 2024 and has been there ever since.

He has been number one choice in both seasons there, with his second being largely excellent.

The former Hellas Verona man kept 11 clean sheets in the Championship and saved two penalties on the way to promotion.

He put in key performances throughout the playoffs as he kept three clean sheets while making six saves in those outings.

All that has clearly caught the eye at Ibrox as he could prove to be their number one moving into the new season.

A deal is going to hinge on the structure of a deal and whether Hull want Butland and vice versa, but there's no doubt Pandur could be great for the Gers.
