Nicolas Raskin transfer now expected in January as final multi-million figures revealed
Rangers now look set to sell Nicolas Raskin to Besiktas in January.
The Belgium international was linked with a move to the Super Lig club in the summer transfer window, but a late deal didn't materialise.
It looks like the two clubs have now found an early agreement ahead of the window reopening in the new year.
Besiktas are expected to pay around £14.2million for Raskin at Ibrox and performance bonuses will also be included.
The 25-year-old came back from the World Cup hoping to take the next step in his career, but the Glaswegian outfit weren't satisfied with the offers they received.
Despite becoming a key player for Derek McInnes in recent weeks, it looks like the Govan side could finally part ways with the ex-Standard Liege star.
Nicolas Raskin transfer latest at Rangers
McInnes is aware of the uncertainty around Raskin's future, although he wouldn't mind working with him beyond this season.
The Belgian ace faced questions about his future in the pre-match press conference ahead of facing St Johnstone at Ibrox and said that the possibility of a contract extension would be down to the Gers.
According to Sporx on 23 October, it looks like the Light Blues have already made their decision on the midfielder's future.
Besiktas are close to reaching an agreement with the Glaswegian outfit for Raskin ahead of the winter transfer window.
Furthermore, the Belgium international has also agreed to a £4.1m annual salary package with the Turkish side.
Reports from Turkiye often aren't the most reliable, so it remains to be seen what the future holds for Raskin.
Can Derek McInnes afford to lose Nicolas Raskin mid-season?
Raskin has formed an impressive partnership with Dan Neil at Rangers.
The Belgian ace has been instrumental in the Gers' recent success, with McInnes turning the tide after a slow start to the season.
Vanja Dragojevic did show potential after signing from Partizan, but he's still young and has a lot to learn.
Tochi Chukwuani has fallen out of favour under the Scottish manager and it wouldn't be surprising to see him look for an exit in January.
Raskin's contract enters its final year next summer, and it would make sense to sell him then, but parting ways with an important member of the team mid-season while competing for domestic titles could be detrimental for the Govan side.
