Derek McInnes has dropped a telling hint over Nicolas Raskin's Rangers future.

The midfielder is a highly regarded figure in Scotland, with interest emerging in his services throughout Spain and Italy this transfer window.

Signs have been pointing towards an exit, especially with the Gers being heavily involved in the market.

The Bears have signed eight new faces and a high profile sale of Raskin would help balance the books.

Nonetheless, as Rangers gear up to try to make their way into the Europa League, McInnes has made a decision involving Raskin.

The Daily Record have now shared the 25-man squad chosen by McInnes to face Jagellonia Bialystok.

Among the names, the biggest headline is that Belgian midfielder Nicolas Raskin is among the squad.

That is despite the fact he has not returned to training yet following his involvement in the World Cup.

Additionally, he has been heavily touted to depart Ibrox this summer.

With that in mind, McInnes appears to be keeping Raskin involved in his plans rather than preparing for life without him.

Of course, squad selection does not guarantee that the Belgian will remain at Ibrox beyond the transfer window, but it does suggest an exit is not yet near.

If Raskin was close to agreeing to a move elsewhere, it would not make much sense for the 25-year-old to be risked with injury putting an end to any move.

Additionally, would McInnes turn to a player that would not be at his disposal for much longer rather than utilising someone that would?

On that, the answer would seem to be no. Raskin, though, is not predicted to start for Rangers, as he has had no pre-season.
