Minsu Kim's Rangers contract examined: Wages, duration and amortisation

Rangers have already seen some positive signs from Minsu Kim since his summer move.

The 20-year-old was one of many summer signings that came through the door in Govan.

Several have looked to be massively useful with someone like Olwethu Makhanya making a positive impression.

The same can be said about the South Korea international despite him being yet to get on the scoresheet in G51.

He has no output to speak of so far, but that doesn't take away from his overall performance level.

What is Minsu Kim's Rangers wage?

There was very little known about the 2006-born attacker when he came through the doors at Ibrox.

That isn't necessarily a shock given he was applying his trade in the Spanish second division last season with Andorra.

He returned to Girona in the summer, but after their relegation, they were seemingly keen to sell.

That allowed the Light Blues to step in and make a move, which seems financially viable based on his reported wages.

His estimated yearly salary in Spain was said to be around £154,000, coming out at a wage just short of £3000-per-week.

Kim will have likely taken a pay rise in an Ibrox switch given that the reported average within the squad sits clear of £16,000-a-week.

That will all tie in with his transfer fee, which may also prove to be money well spent.

How much are Rangers paying for Kim per year?

The Gers weren't afraid to spend over the summer to provide McInnes with an improved squad.

Kim was just one of those additions as he came in for £8.5million.

As part of that move, he put pen to paper on an initial four-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

That allows Rangers to spread his transfer fee over at least four payments, sitting at an estimated £2.1m.

It's fair to say that would act as a positive fee should the attacker find his feet infront of goal for the Ibrox club.

If he can do that, he will become a true asset and someone that could be sold down the line for a profit, which is something that the Gers need to do regularly.
