Minsu Kim becomes 'stuff of legend' in South Korea already as footage of Rangers star revealed

Minsu Kim has quickly found his feet at Rangers since signing this summer.

The winger signed from Girona this summer after a breakout loan spell with FC Andorra in Spain.

Costing £8.5million at Ibrox, he's been thrown into the deep end.

Derek McInnes has thrown his faith behind Kim, and he is repaying his boss already without actually scoring.

It's becoming a small narrative that he hasn't found the target yet, but his tenacity alone is winning points.

Now, Minsu is doing the same with his country.

Minsu Kim footage goes viral in South Korea

Making his international debut during this break, Kim has come off the bench twice already.

His debut was a 3-0 win over Ecuador on Thursday, before that was followed up by a heavy 4-1 defeat to Uruguay.

Coming on at half-time in the latter, surprisingly, it wasn't his attacking work that caught the eye in Seoul.

Joel Kim shared the footage of Minsu moving forward with the ball, beating a couple of players before being taken out in a heavy challenge.

That tenacity is what stood out, and the 'All Things Korea' creator states that the winger has become "stuff of legend" for his fighting spirit on and off the ball.

Thankfully, he was fine after the challenge, despite taking the heavy blow and clearly being in pain after.

What next for Minsu Kim?

The extended international break means more fixtures.

Venezuela and Kevin Kelsy are up next for the Koreans, with Uzbekistan on 6 October their last fixture.

With Rangers returning to action in the Scottish Premiership on 10 October against Kilmarnock at Ibrox, it's a tight turnaround.

Minsu hasn't started a game yet, so actual match fitness shouldn't be an issue, but travel fatigue could be.

But, there is one big positive.

Heung-min Son is the biggest legend in all of South Korean football, and now, Minsu is clearly under his wing.

BibimBallers shared an image of them both in the tunnel on 29 September, and if he learns anything from the ex-Spurs winger, it would be incredible.

With Djeidi Gassama also flying on the opposite wing, McInnes will hope his two wingers come back raring to go next week.
