Ibrox News, though, has been sharing reports Rangers are pushing to sign Tromso ace Jens Hjerto-Dahl.
Rangers have not shopped in Norway since the signing of Andrius Velicka back in 2008-2009 from Viking FK.
For Celtic, they have rarely bought from Norway as well, with their most recent example being Kristoffer Ajer in 2016-2017.
So, it is by no means a coincidence that this summer both Glasgow sides are venturing to the Scandinavian nation in pursuit of additions.
The Eliteserien is growing into a mass talent pool, and for clubs in the Scottish Premiership, those promising players are available at much cheaper prices.
As Norwegian football only continues to improve, there will undoubtedly be plenty more deals in the pipeline over the coming years.
And Rangers are beginning to show signs of that awareness - luckily just in time, as their rivals Celtic have as well.

The Norwegian market is certainly set to be a hotly fought battleground as both sides end their droughts of dipping into that side of the market.

If Hjerto-Dahl comes through the door, the next steps are to begin working on wingers.
The Bears are extremely light in that department but have been linked to plenty.
Vaclav Cerny has been touted for an Ibrox return this summer, while Amario Cozier-Duberry is another option for McInnes in what has been a hectic summer.
