James Tavernier transfer update as Rangers brace for bids in new Ibrox development

Rangers are bracing themselves for a bid from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq for James Tavernier, according to the Daily Record.

The Gers skipper would also link up with former manager Steven Gerrard who is keen to have the defender at his disposal again.

If the 32-year-old leaves, Jack Butland is expected to take over captaincy duties at Ibrox.
