Hugo Siquet could be next seven-figure Rangers transfer as Couhaib Driouech starts medical

After links emerged from France overnight, the Bears are clearly looking at the right-back.

Dujon Sterling and Ross McCrorie are current options at Ibrox, but both have started the season poorly.

Now, the Rangers Review have shared that Siquet is a target for a permanent move before the 3 September deadline.

It's said that the ambition would be to secure him for a seven-figure fee.

Aston Villa's Kosta Nedeljkovic is another target on a possible loan-to-buy, but there is no current preference between the two.

This all comes as Driouech begins his medical on Tuesday ahead of signing a four-year contract with Rangers.

Who is the best Rangers target?

Siquet and Nedeljkovic come with their own strengths.

The Serbian could join fellow compatriot, Vanja Dragojevic at Ibrox, but he hasn't had consistent football in years now on several loans.

Siquet has been playing consistently and lifted the Jupiler Pro League title with Club Brugge last season.

Interestingly though, the 24-year-old was actually an unused substitue as Brugge opened their season with a 3-0 win over Kortrijk.

So, the door could certainly be open for him to move on.

In his last nine appearances of last season, using Sofascore's rating system, he didn't score below a seven once.

But, with an average of only 43 minutes per game in 31 appearances, he could relish a move to Scotland at this stage of his career.

Nedeljkovic is the same, having made five appearances in Bundesliga last season, and the same number in the Premier League in the year before that.

McInnes will have his preference, and it could come down to who is best value for money at this point.
