How many signing Rangers are poised to make before transfer deadline as needs addressed

Rangers aren't done just yet this transfer window.

Derek McInnes is about to get his 12th signing of the summer in Kim Min-su from Girona, but the Gers won't stop there.

Kim's Rangers medical has been booked in and the South Korean winger's arrival feels imminent.

Apart from the 20-year-old Girona forward, there could potentially be three more arrivals at Ibrox.

Scottish journalist David Friel believes the possibility of four new additions after James Penrice and Kosta Nedeljkovic's signings is on the cards.

While the Gers could certainly do with a new centre-back, McInnes has already suggested that isn't a priority for now.

What the Glaswegian outfit may be desperate for is more attacking quality in their ranks, especially after Youssef Chermiti's ACL injury.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard on 23 August, Friel said: "Potentially [there could be another four signings]. I think when Cavenagh spoke, the Chermiti diagnosis hadn't come out.

"I still think Rangers need a leader at the back, but I don't think that would be the priority right now. At the top end of the pitch, Rangers need an injection of pace, quality and I'd say maturity as well."

Kim would bolster the left-wing, while a new striker is certainly needed to replace Chermiti

With John Souttar being told to find a new club, McInnes should be pushing for a new centre-back to join Emmanuel Fernandez, Olwethu Makhanya and Ben Godfrey.

The Gers could also do with a more experienced option out wide on the right to compete with Daisuke Yokota.

Despite multiple midfield additions, there's a lack of creativity in the Light Blues' engine room that McInnes needs to address.

Apart from Thelo Aasgaard, there isn't really any other player capable of providing a consistent attacking threat from the middle of the park at the Govan side.
