How Jack Butland and other Rangers players reacted as Nedim Bajrami exit confirmed

Rangers officially confirmed Nedim Bajrami's loan move to Al-Taawoun on Tuesday.

The Albania attacker became surplus to requirements at Ibrox following the appointment of Derek McInnes and a solution has been found.

Rangers have been extremely active in the transfer market, bringing in eight players thus far.

Daisuke Yakota is set to join from Hannover 96 in the extremely near future too, as Rangers continue their recruitment drive.

All the arrivals has meant that exits would be inevitable, and Bajrami was told he has no role to play under McInnes.

Another player who departed this summer, Jack Butland, is among those who reacted to Rangers announcing Bajrami's departure.

How did Jack Butland and others react to Rangers' Nedim Bajrami's post?

News of Bajrami's move from Rangers to Saudi Pro League side Al-Taawoun became known last week.

The 27-year-old has departed Ibrox on an initial loan deal, with the Gers receiving a loan fee, while there is a purchase option of £2.5million included.

Al-Taawoun are covering the whole of Bajrami's salary for the duration of the loan, freeing up wage space for further signings.

Rangers posted on Instagram with the announcement: "We can today confirm Nedim Bajrami has joined Al-Taawoun on a loan deal, with the option to make the move permanent next summer.

"Everyone at Rangers wishes Nedim well for his time on loan."

Butland, who departed Ibrox for Hull City, was among those to react by liking the post Rangers put up.

Former Rangers players Hamza Igamane and Leon Balogun were among those to like the post, as did current Gers winger Djeidi Gassama.

What will Rangers do next?

There is still plenty of work for Rangers to do before the close of the transfer window in Scotland.

Some of the work will, inevitably, be focused on outgoings with John Souttar among those who have been told they can find a new club.

Nico Raskin could also depart if Rangers' valuation is met, while Connor Barron's future is not entirely clear.

McInnes wants reinforcement in the final third, with at least two wingers said to be on his radar.

Another centre-back could also arrive before the close of the window.
