The striker, who was recently named the Scottish Premiership Player of the Year, is being linked with a move away from Tynecastle Park.

Over the last few weeks, the Jam Tarts have seen Rangers raid their best players and manager, and the 26-year-old Portuguese forward could be next.

The Ibrox hierarchy may have a chance to compound Hearts' misery soon by completing a move for the in-demand Braga.

In the 2025-26 campaign, the centre-forward formed an impressive partnership with Shankland that almost won the Jambos the title, and McInnes could look to reunite them in Govan.

With the Light Blues continuing their rebuild under the Scottish manager, the Portuguese star's situation will be worth keeping an eye on.

How much clubs are willing to pay for Claudio Braga amid Rangers interest

Ipswich Town are one of the teams interested in Braga and are ready to pay around £9.3million to sign him.

Craig Gordon holds the record for being Hearts' most expensive sale after moving to Sunderland for £9m in 2007, but the Portuguese striker's exit could break that.

According to O Jogo on 10 July, Braga is aware of Rangers' interest in him, with Trabzonspor and Olympique Lyon also in the race.

The centre-forward thrived under McInnes at Tynecastle and it remains to be seen whether a reunion with him in Govan will be tempting.

Rangers have decided to sell Danilo this summer, with the Brazilian attacker being left out of the travelling squad for pre-season training in Spain.

Apart from Shankland, McInnes can also call upon Youssef Chermiti, Bojan Miovski and Ryan Naderi up front.

If the Light Blues were to sign Braga, it would certainly mean the end of a few careers in G51, with the North Macedonia international already struggling for regular game time.

The Portuguese star's arrival would also make Chermiti's sale for an appropriate sum more palatable.

Fans could be in for some interesting times in Govan as Andrew Cavenagh continues his investment in the team.
