Findlay Curtis and John Souttar among Rangers winners and losers of summer transfer window so far

Rangers are having an extremely proactive summer transfer window.

Danny Rohl's unexpected departure after just eights in charge threw a spanner in the works before the summer really got going.

But the Gers acted swiftly to bring in Derek McInnes from Hearts, and he has been backed in the market.

Cammy Devlin and Lawrence Shankland also made the jump from Tynecastle on free transfers.

Ivor Pandur, Ross McCrorie, Ben Godrey, Dan Neil, Vanja Dragojevic, and Olwethu Makhanya have also made the switch to Ibrox.

Here, Rangers News picks out the winners and losers from the transfer window so far.

Winner - Findlay Curtis

For all the moves Rangers have made in the window thus far, they have not made many attacking signings.

Indeed, Oliver Antman has been sold to Anderlecht and Nedim Bajramiis expected to depart for the Saudi Pro League.

As such, McInnes is said to want two wide players before the window shuts, with a return for Vaclav Cerny among the more ambitious desires.

In the meantime, though, it presents a great opportunity for Findlay Curtis to stake a claim for regular minutes.

He scored six goals and provided one assist last season, having started 14 Scottish Premiership games and making a further 10 appearances as a sub.

Winner - Derek McInnes

You have to say that McInnes has been heavily backed in the transfer window.

After coming agonisingly close to winning the title with Hearts last season, McInnes is now aiming to have Rangers knock Celtic off their perch.

With eight signings made already and the promise of more to come, the window has been a big boost for McInnes.

The pressure will really be on the boyhood Gers supporter to deliver the goods, but he has certainly been given the tools to do so.

Loser - John Souttar

Scotland defender John Souttar looks like he will be on his way out of Ibrox if he can find a new home.

With the signings of Godfrey and Makhanya, plus Emmanuel Fernandez still on the books, his chances of game time look pretty slim this season.

Most probably would have expected Souttar to have be in favour under McInnes, but it is looking unlikely he will be a regular feature.

The writing is already seemingly on the wall for the 29-year-old, and you'd expect him to be plying his trade elsewhere before the window shuts.

Loser - Connor Barron

Connor Barron has been a regular feature since moving to Rangers on a free transfer from Aberdeen back in 2024.

However, one area that the Gers have really looked to overhaul in the close season is their midfield.

Indeed, three central midfielders have already arrived, and there are still links to Jens Hjerto-Dahl.

Right now, the Gers look massively oversubscribed in the centre of the park, and you wonder if Barron might be sacrificed in order the trim the numbers there.
