Everything Kenny Miller said about James Tavernier transfer as new move on the cards after Rangers exit
Kenny Miller has spoken out amid reports former Rangers captain James Tavernier could join him at Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Vastly experienced full-back Tavernier has not yet found a new club since departing Ibrox in the summer.
The former Gers skipper spent 11 years in Govan, who gave 542 games for the Bears and scored 144 goals.
Tavernier, 34, has been unable to find a new club throughout the transfer window as he enters the twilight of his career.
Reports on Monday suggested that Tavernier was closing on a move to Maccabi, and former Rangers striker Miller - who is head coach of the Israeli side - spoke about the reports.

What has Kenny Miller said about signing James Tavernier?
The links to Maccabi might have seemed quite left field for Gers supporters initially.
But Miller is a former team-mate of Tavernier's from his playing days, and he took on the Maccabi job back in May.
It was reported by Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph that former Rangers man Tavernier was to travel for a medical on Tuesday.
Miller was asked about his reported interest in Tavernier following a 3-1 win over Maccabi Haifa.
Unsurprisingly, he played it with a straight bat, but he did hail Tavernier as an "excellent" player.
In quotes reported by the Daily Record, Miller said: "I know him well from Rangers, he is an excellent player.
"His name has come up for us in the last month. He is a very, very high-level player. But I prefer not to talk about a player who is not in the team and only about the game itself.
"We have just won after an excellent performance and we received great support from our fans. The players deserve a lot of praise because this is a good team we have here and they performed well."
Have Rangers adequately replaced James Tavernier?
Rangers have been extremely active in the transfer window, with 12 players in so far and more potentially on the way.
Tavernier was a huge servant to Rangers, but was often made a scapegoat for the Gers' inconsistency over the past decade.
Since his departure, Derek McInnes has brought in Kosta Nedeljkovic, while the versatile Ross McCrorie is back at Ibrox and can play right-back.
Dujon Sterling is also still on the books and has been utilised there in the past few games.
In truth, replacing Tavernier is extremely difficult because of the outrageous goal return he had from full-back.
Hopefully, he can get himself back playing in the very near future.
