Youssef Chermiti has now emerged on Olympique Lyon's transfer radar after talks with Rangers were reported.

The striker has had a turbulent time at Ibrox over the past 12 months since joining the Bears in a £10million move from Everton.

The Portuguese man had a poor start to life in Glasgow, taking much criticism from pundits and fans, but soon changed his form around.

Chermiti finished the season with 20 goals and assists combined in 30 Scottish Premiership games and is now central to transfer interest across Europe.

The 22-year-old is highly rated at Ibrox, and Derek McInnes will make his first in-person assessment of the player during pre-season.

However, that might not be for long, as there are multiple clubs now in the queue to pry Chermiti away from Rangers.

The growing list of Youssef Chermiti's admirers

Foot Mercato has reported that Lyon are locked in talks with Rangers over Chermiti.

The French side are mulling over whether to make an offer of around £17m, including bonuses, for the centre-forward.

PSV are also said to be interested in the number nine, who is said to be the Dutch side's top forward priority this summer, according to the Daily Record.

Fenerbahce had a £13m offer rejected by the Bears for Chermiti in the winter window, as the Turkish giants could still have him on their mind.

Besiktas have also been mooted with interest, though it's not clear what the player's preference would be up to this point.

However, the Gers would only cash in for a club-record fee if they were to sell their talisman.

How much do Rangers value Chermiti at?

Chermiti has come up with some incredible moments for Rangers already, including that overhead kick in the Old Firm draw to Celtic earlier this year.

He also scored what was described by Sky Sports as a "sensational" volley against Falkirk on the final day of the season, which set him up for a busy window of interest.

However, it's said that Ibrox chiefs would only consider cashing in on their prized asset if a £25m bid came their way.

No team has yet to come close to that value, but transfer speculation may continue up until the final day of the window.
