Rangers manager Derek McInnes may be fully aware of the club's willingness to sign Oskar Fallenius.

The Bears started being linked to the Djurgarden forward while Danny Rohl was in charge, but as seen already, transfer plans remain mainly the same.

Fallenius looks likely to find a new club this summer, and the Gers have been keeping an eye on him along with Celtic and other clubs.

The Swedish star has been playing in his home nation for the past five seasons but could seek pastures new this summer.

Djurgarden are aware of the interest in their right-winger, and it remains to be seen if the Light Blues are ready to make an official bid.

Rangers still seem to be interested in Fallenius, who McInnes has already been informed all about.

As reported by the Daily Record at the end of May, Fallenius is open to the idea of moving to Ibrox.

His manager, Jani Honkavaara, recently admitted that he would be sold if a "suitable" offer came in for a player whom he very much appreciates.

If McInnes does his homework on the 24-year-old, he will see that Honkavaara has already told him how to utilise the forward.

Earlier this year, the Djurgarden head coach revealed a key ability that Fallenius can offer McInnes.

Honkavaara said, while speaking to Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen: "He can play on both wings. But now he scored a hat-trick at yesterday's training from the left side, so he will play there. But he can play on both wings."

Fallenius himself said: "I've always wanted to play on the left. That has always been my position. But I want to play on the left, and the coaches know that. I think you get the most out of me on the left wing, that's where I feel safe."

The winger has played six times in the Allsvenskan for Djurgarden this season already, and creates 2.08 chances per game.

McInnes may want Rangers to push on and get him a tricky winger like Fallenius, and his price tag may not be too bad either.

Oskar Fallenius destined for exit as Rangers can seal deal for 'suitable' price

Here's Fallenius' price tag; it's interesting

Fallenius hasn't ruled out joining another club in Europe this summer, and it could be the Bears that he wants above other sides.

Rangers are expected to make several more signings for McInnes in due course, especially for additions in the final third,

According to Transfermarkt, Fallenius is worth just under £350,000, which would prove a low-risk signing for the Gers.

Perhaps the forward's value is so low because of the low finances that are in Swedish football, but that only plays into the hands of Andrew Cavenagh and Co.

Rangers will face competition for his signature, though, as they are set to assess their options before the end of the window.
